Introducing our NEWEST class: Making nn agate pendant. 

What:

Come learn the basics of silver jewelry making while creating a beautiful, one-of-a-kind agate pendant. In this hands-on class, you’ll begin by choosing your agate from a wide variety in our collection with unique colors and patterns.

We’ll guide you through the process of creating a custom silver setting for your stone. You’ll learn how to shape, texture, and polish the silver using a variety of jewelry-making tools, bringing your pendant to life.

Once your pendant is finished, you can choose from a leather necklace to add it to.  Sterling silver necklace will be available for an additional cost. All will leave with a beautiful piece of jewelry made entirely by you.

No prior jewelry-making experience is necessary. Just come ready to get creative and discover the beauty of working with silver and natural agate!

Have fun and make lasting memories with friends.

A private class is also available. Please inquire.

16+. Younger kids can attend if accompanied by an adult.

Classes are taught at The Local Artisan Collective, located at 2371 Kiesel Ave in down town Ogden, just a little south of the Megaplex.

How To Register And Cancelation Policy:

You can register for the class at our shop or online below.   A full refund, minus a $5 cancellation fee will be given for cancellations more than 7 days before the class. No refunds for canceling less than 7 days before the class begins.

If you are using a cell phone and are having trouble registering, turn it in its side. PCs or Laptops seem to work best.

About The Instructor:

This class will be taught by Rene Venegas, a 16th generation silversmith. His family was one of the first to arrive from Spain to the Americas. His ancestor, Felipe Venegas, was the silversmith for the early cathedrals in the Dominican Republic and stamped the first European coins in the New World.  He has been teaching jewelry and silversmithing classes at Weber State for 15 years. In addition, he has been featured in The Standard ExaminerThe Signpost, KUTV Inside the Story,  FOX13 Good Morning Utah, The Salt Project and KTVX Good Things Utah. Most recently, he was Ogden City’s Mayor’s Art Award for Folk Art.
