May’s flowers bloom so beautiful but they are playing catch up to the colors in Stephanie’s new summer line of hand-dyed and marbled clothes!
Art Stroll is on Friday, May 3rd, 2024! The store will be open late for the Art Stroll from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm; with the store being open until 10pm for shopping.
Our Featured Artist this month is Stephanie Howerton who is the President and Worker Bee for Our Children’s Earth. She makes beautiful clothes, jewelry and household items. Her biggest passion is creating by marbling and hand-dyeing.
She says “My heart delights in creating something new so I tend to explore a variety of arts. I hope that you feel that same joy while using your new purchase.”
She has been featured in the Huffington Post, VEIN Magazine, Indie Ogden, Standard Examiner, Good Things Utah, Fox 13 News, the book Dyeing for Entertainment and a variety of international and domestic blogs.
Stephanie also teaches a wide variety of classes at The Local Artisan Collective. See below for all that she has in store for this special night!

Classes and Events happening during the Art Stroll:
-6:00 Art Stroll will kick off with a FASHION SHOW featuring Stephanie Howerton from Our Children’s Earth new summer line of clothing that she has hand-dyed and marbled. This will showcase her splatter dye, geode dye, scrunch dye and marbling (maybe even some hand stamped pieces). She is excited to announce that she will have children’s, women and men’s clothes in this new line. A SPECIAL FOR THIS NIGHT ONLY all of Our Children’s Earth items will be buy one, get one for 50% OFF!
-7:00 to 9:00: Stephanie and Lance Howerton from Our Children’s Earth absolultly love marbling. They love sharing the joy it brings to them with others. So they will be doing Free Coaster Marbling. We have partnered with other phenomel local businesses Roosters and UTOG to use their amazing coasters. So stop by and make one for FREE!
-6:30 to 9:00: Watch Mike Hurst from Hurst Handblown Glass create Glassblowing right before your eyes. We can’t wait to see what he is going to make this month! Find him in his studio space.
-6:00 to 9:00: Come watch Steve Stones create a collage painting. He is an Ogden native artist who has taught in the art department at WSU for 24 years You won’t want to miss seeing what he makes! Find him set up in Classroom A.
-6:00 to 9:00: Ms. Sather’s art classes from DaVinci Elementary 5th and 6th-graders will be showcasing masks they have made using models of their faces then adding their own unique features and designs. The display will also featured a set of surreal sculptures. Find them in classroom B.
-7:00 to 9:00: Drop in Jewelry Bar. Stop by and pick out parts for a unique custom made ring. First pick out a stone, then the bezel (metal that holds the stone, and then pick your silver band style. After all are chosen, 16th generation silversmith, Rene, will create your ring while you shop. Ring will be ready in less than 30 minutes. Find this in the archway to the studio space of Classroom A.

We are also open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 to 7:00. We will also be open late until 10:00pm on the first Friday of the month with Art Stroll.
