Hand Embroidery For Mending Clothing

What:

Come learn how to creatively mend your clothing instead of discarding it. You need to bring 1-3 pieces of clothing with a hole, stain, or worn spot that you want to transform into beautiful handmade wearable art. The class with teach a variety of decorative stitching and hand embroidery. There will be iron on patch also available for $4.99.

This class is beginner-friendly and all materials will be provided (besides your clothing).

Who is the teacher:

Hi, My name is Emery Young and I am the owner of Social Lies.

My mission is: Help people to open their minds, think for themselves and question their perception of the world.

I like people to think and expand their minds. I hope that my art supports them on their journey to question the way they perceive the world. I add quotes to my paintings, jewelry and clothes to give people different ways to look at things. I have always loved creating drawings, paintings, and flow/fluid paintings. I feel that it is important that we are kind to our Earth and that we reuse the things that we have. I love to make upcycled clothes with embroidery and paintings on them. I like to find the hidden beauty in the items I make and the world around me.
