Heather Musante started painting as an adult while she lived and obsessively rock climbed in West Virginia. Since then she has traveled extensively with her husband—at one point they even sold everything and lived in their vehicle so they could visit 32 national parks, lots of museums, and every cool mountain town in the western U.S. That trip’s influences can be seen in Heather’s watercolor paintings to this day.
Heather and Tim moved to Ogden late summer 2018. Unfortunately, the move to Ogden did not start well—8 days after purchasing a home an electrical fire destroyed it. Heather started painting more seriously after the house fire as a coping mechanism which ultimately lead to her joining The Local Artisan Collective.
Heather’s watercolors tend to reflect her love of nature—animals, birds, flowers, trees, and scenic vistas are all represented. Her watercolors may also contain some organic doodling to lighten the mood. Occasionally, her inner engineer slips out resulting in an overly detailed piece like a mandala or a hyper-realistic kangaroo. There’s no telling what she’ll paint next.
Heather also teaches monthly watercolor classes at The Local Artisan Collective.
