For tweens up to adults. Students learn dynamic drawing and inking skills by way of creating both popular animation/anime style characters as well as some realistic animal and people studies. Through curated resources and hands on exercises, the fundamentals of dimensional sketching and design (shape, line, proportion, gesture, shading, anatomy, foreshortening, action, composition, etc, plus dramatic finishing touches like fur, texture, and lighting) are introduced in a way that encourages students to have fun with the process in making their own characters, fan art, and super fun illustrations! We’ll have lessons in facial expressions, action poses, costume and environment design, visual storytelling, plus shading and inking skills. We’ll make one awesome final design including your character in an imagined environment, plus sidekicks, vehicles, props or whatever else.
