Tips and Ideas for Loved Ones that have Passed Away

Losing a loved one is never easy, but incorporating their memory into meaningful art can provide comfort and a lasting tribute. At The Local Artisan Collective, we offer several unique ways to honor those who have passed.

  1. Memorial Glass
  • Our talented artists can incorporate cremains into glass, creating a stunning and heartfelt keepsake. These pieces serve as a tangible way to remember and cherish your loved one.
  • Custom Glass Keepsakes – Choose from pendants, marbles, or decorative glass art with cremains infused inside. Made by Mike from Hurst’s Handblown Glass.
  1. Memorial Portrait Paintings or Diorama’s
  • We offer custom memorial portrait paintings or diorama for lost pets and loved ones. A painting is a beautiful way to keep their memory alive, capturing their spirit in a keepsake that will be treasured forever. Painted by Charis Derry.
  1. Personalized Jewelry & Keepsakes
  • Our artisans collaborate to create custom jewelry settings using cremation-infused glass, allowing you to wear a piece of your loved one close to your heart.
  • We work with Rene from Galleon’s Gold Jewelry and Mike from Hurst’s Handblown Glass to design rings, necklaces, and other keepsakes with infused glass elements.
  1. Sending Cremains for Custom Artwork
  • USPS Guidelines – The post office requires cremated remains to be shipped with a special label to ensure proper handling. A free shipping kit is available upon request.
  • Bring them directly to the store – We are located at 2371 Kiesel Ave, Ogden.
