Learn to Paint with Acrylics Series every other Thursday in April and May

Beginner: Classes 1 and 2

Class One: Floating Ladybug

Join KC Peek to create a whimsical Floating Ladybug using acrylic paint.  In Class One, you will learn:

• Basic Brushstrokes
• Beginner Composition
• Blending

When: Class One will be on Thursday, April 10th from 5pm-7pm.

Class Two: Mushrooms and Butterflies

This time we’ll paint some mushrooms using acrylic paint to create some lively textures. In Class Two, you will learn:

• Dry Brushing
• Stippling
• Impasto

When: Class Two will be on Thursday, April 24th from 5pm-7pm.

Intermediate: Classes 3 and 4

Class Three: I don’t carrot all

For Class Three, we’ll play with light and shadow with an amusing carrot painting. In Class Three, you will learn:

• Underpainting
• Light and Shadow

When: Class Three will be Thursday, May 8th from 5pm to 7pm.

Class Four: Aspen Forest 

In this, our final class, learn some fun techniques to create a beautiful aspen forest. In Class Four, you will learn:

• Reflections
• Sgraffito
• Masking

When: Class Four will be Thursday, May 22nd from 5pm to 7pm.

Where: All classes will be at the Local Artisan Collective store at 2371 Kiesel Ave in Ogden, UT.

Cost: Each class is $24. If you sign up for all four classes the discounted price is $80

About the Artist: KC is a mixed media artist based in Ogden, Utah, known for her unique dioramas made from thrift store finds, her great grandma’s costume jewelry, and other memorabilia. In addition to her dioramas, KC paints delicate watercolors, often focusing on botanicals, and explores mixed media techniques to create striking 2D and relief artwork.
