Join us for a morning of creating your own unique jewelry. You’ll learn the basics of jewelry making, including how to use different tools and materials, and how to create different types of jewelry, such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings.

All materials will be provided, so just bring yourself and your creativity. In this class, we will teach you the skills to make the jewelry you design. Not sure what to make?  We can help you with that tool. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, you’re sure to have a blast!

Class size is limited to about 4 so there is ample 1 on 1 instruction. ALL skill levels are invited to class. Though the class is geared towards adults, mature teens and pre-teens are welcome to join as well.

Class offered every Wednesdays at 10am. Class will be taught at The Local Artisan Collective located in downtown Ogden, just a little south of the Megaplex at 2371 Kiesel Ave, Ogden. Private classes and parties are also available. This class is also taught Mondays from 6pm-8pm.

This class is meant to be an ongoing class so one can learn new skills as old skills are mastered. However, if you wish to come to just one class, you are welcome to come. For one time classes, you can choose to make: silver band/ring, silver band/rind with cabochon stone.  simple earring design, copper or silver bracelet with or without a cabochon stone and simple pendant with or without a cabochon stone.

Class is taught by Rene Venegas, a 16th generation master silversmith. He was taught as a youth by his father and later took specialized classes. In addition to classes taught at The Local Artisan Collective, he teaches jewelry making and metal smithing at Weber State University.

Class is $40/per each 2-hour class. Punch passes are also available: 3 classes for $100. You can pay for the class in person at the store or on our website below. Metal and stones are extra and can be brought from home or bought at the store at the time of class.
